To Tip or not to Tip, is that the question?

Related note to my Anti-Rachel RAy rant.

It makes sense but I doubt it will be a simple matter to change the habits of the entire country.

Comments:
I went to read the article in your link, and NYT wants to charge me $3.95 for the honor of reading it. What's up with that?

You gotta get 'em while they're hot. After a week they go to the archives and have to be paid for. Lowdown: A hoity toity restaurant in NYC is planning to start charging a service fee instead of having patrons tip. This eliminates the guesswork of tipping and allows servers to give customers what they want instead of trying to get them to order the most expensive items and force the tip up.
