Tests Confirm Second Mad Cow Case in U.S. - Yahoo! News

Ah crap.

Comments:
One case isn't really anthing to worry about. Two cases is still not reason to alter your diet but it is reason for the beef industry to get its act together and change their practices to insure a full scale epidemic doesn't occur.

Wasting disease was an issue in both wild and farmed deer a few years ago It isn't too far fetched to imagine that the huge cattle pens and focus on the bottom line will lead to the same thing with cattle.

Apparently friends of mine have given up beef for good after hearing of the latest case. That's an extreme step for now but I for one will avoid burgers at sketchy venues and stick with the naturally raised beef I prefer anyway.

ah, it just means beef will go on sale at the super market.

And Matt, you and I are already banned for life for giving blood for our supposed exposure to BSE in Ireland in 95-96. Our minds will surely waste away one way or another.
